Brief Description of Main Responsibilities:

Basically, I have the general responsibility and oversight over all Chapter Activities. It is my responsibility to make sure the other Chapter Officers are doing their jobs. I preside at Chapter and Executive meetings. I am an ex-officio member of all committees within the chapter.

Why I Volunteered:

I was starting to more actively attend Chapter meetings in 2005, when a chapter officer approached me to assist on the Program Committee. The committee had already included some business associates of mine, who I enjoyed working with professionally. I instantly enjoyed the interactions with the committee as well as the duties of planning functions for the Chapter. The more responsibilities I picked up, the more enjoyable the experience was for me. I feel my role in NKBA has given so much to me professionally (through networking) and personally (new friendships).

A little bit about me . . .

I am one of many people who did not initially intend on developing a career in the Kitchen and Bath industry, yet have found a strong passion for work I do. With a bachelors degree in psychology, I had several career options. A “temp” sales job with an appliance distributor kicked off a career in appliance sales. I can now be found at Reno 's Appliance as the Sales Manager in Fairfield , NJ . My employer and family have both been huge supporters of my involvement in the Northern NJ NKBA Chapter.

This year, I feel very proud to be part of such a strong Association with an executive board that challenges and motivates me every day.
